Blog Apologies

In a book I read recently, the narrator says something about how she used to visit blogs a lot, then stopped because they were all mostly apologies for not updating more frequently. I have never done that on this blog. Then again, I don't exactly have a large audience to apologize to. But none of the blogs I look at spend much time apologizing, either. So who has the stranger blog experience- me or the narrator in the book I read?
